Born and raised in the Bronx, Chef Sashia Liriano discovered her passion for cooking in her family's kitchen, where she learned to prepare traditional Dominican recipes passed down through generations. With 15 years in the restaurant and hospitality industry, Sashia spent 7 years as Chef de Cuisine at the recipient of the 2023 James Beard Award for "Outstanding Restaurant" in the country.

 

Now, as the driving force behind Saviñon, Chef Sashia blends her professional training with her Dominican culinary heritage, creating innovative dishes that reflect her "New Caribbean" style. Committed to broadening the scope of fine dining and advocating for diversity in the industry, Chef Sashia is a trailblazer challenging norms at the highest level.
